The Award includes a monetary award and memento, which will be presented at the 2021 ISBRA Early Career Investigator Award Symposium during the 2021 ISBRA/RSA Conference, June 19-23, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas, USA. In addition, award recipients will be acknowledged at the ISBRA/RSA Conference Closing Ceremony.
Historically, recipients of the ISBRA Early Career Investigator Award are required to attend the conference due to the in-person presentations. However, we realize the 2021 Conference is unique due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, in light of this reality, we encourage you to apply for the ISBRA Early Career Investigator Award with the awareness that the conference format (a hybrid-meeting format or a fully virtual meeting format) will depend on how the COVID-19 pandemic develops this coming spring. If travel restrictions are in effect at that time and you receive this award you will still receive the ISBRA 2021 Early Career Investigator Award including the monetary award and memento.
Applicants must be an ISBRA member. If you are not currently an ISBRA member, your membership application (https://www.isbra.com/membership/) must be received by January 2, 2021. Awards will be limited to early career investigators (either PhD or MD students or young post-docs/physicians) (see application details below). All awardees will give a brief oral presentation at the ISBRA Early Career Investigator Award Symposium. Award recipients will be notified by March 1, 2021.
The ISBRA Early Career Investigator Award application for ISBRA members will include the following:
The deadline for all applications for the 2021 award is Saturday, February 1, 2021.
